History

The Durinck shipping company was founded in 1974 by Mr. R.W.F. Durinck and Ms. M. Durinck-Weyde. It all started with the purchase of a 1500 ton dry bulk carrier named Alexandra. After several successful years, it was decided to sell this ship and build a new one. In 1988 the time had come: the first newly built vessel entered service, named Alexandra.

In 1992, Alexander Durinck joined the firm. Together with his wife Diana Durinck-de Jong he built Duraship B.V. into the company it is today. Our fleet currently consists of 12 ships, comprising container ships, dry bulk carriers and tankers.

In the future, Duraship B.V. wants to continue to prove itself to be an effective, reliable and professional partner. In doing so, our objective is ongoing improvement and innovation!
